  Human Resource Administrator

HR Administrator will be an integral part of the team to provide comprehensive HR support to both facilities in Manitowoc, WI and Huntley, IL. successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day -to-day operations of the HR department and providing exceptional service to our employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment process by posting job listings, scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates
  • Maintain employee records, including but not limited to onboarding paperwork, benefit enrollment and performance evaluations
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefit programs
  • Administration of benefits, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Conduct new employee orientations and assist with training and development programs
  • Schedule annual open enrollment meetings
  • Responsible for daily ATM time and attendance processing
  • Plan and coordinate employee sponsor events during the year
  • Scheduling safety training

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR
  • 5 plus years of HR/Administrative experience preferred

  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  Single or Multi - Screw Machine Setup and Operate or Operate Only

  • Second shift: Ten hour days, Monday through Thursday
  • First Shift: Eight hour days, Monday through Friday
  • Part time: 28 or less hours per week and no benefits.

  • Implement new or modify existing processes with a focus on safety and operator health
  • Communicate directly with suppliers to define the best tooling and processes
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering on new products
  • Identify and troubleshoot productivity and quality challenges
  • Collaborate with Production Leaders and other MEs on special projects throughout the facility
  • Project management of process improvements and programs to incorporate new processes into production
  • Utilize LDI’s ERP system, INFORXA, to retrieve and maintain production information
  • Be an active participant on maintaining and developing automation on the production floor

  Quality Technician

LDI Industries has a first shift (6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.) opportunity for a Quality Technician/Inspector in a modern, clean, fully air-conditioned plant. Hands on, energetic quality-oriented individual to provide support for our Quality System.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Perform In-coming inspections, In-Process inspections and New Item inspections
  • Complete calibration updates and adjustments
  • Assist in completing and submitting PPAPs, ISIRs, Control Plan and FA inspections
  • Perform ISO internal audits
  • Participate and assist in process improvement initiatives and shall present a positive attitude
  • Assist with other projects as needed or assigned
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints and returns (RGA)
  • Perform cleanliness test

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma / GED required
  • 3 years of inspection experience in a metal fabrication environment. Previous experience with fabrication inspections, internal auditing, and gage calibration
  • Welding experience and CWI certification is a plus
  • Proficiency in reading blue prints, welding symbols, assembly print and good knowledge of tolerances
  • Experience with GD&T
  • Good working knowledge of various weld and form processes
  • Must be competent in use of micrometers, calipers, and thread ring gages
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • High level of accuracy is required
  • Willing to learn and support expanding skills on the job
  • Work with a sense of urgency and accountability
  • Experience with quality tools, problem solving, and/or continuous improvement

  CNC Press Brake

Essential Duties:

  • Setup and document tooling and safe practices for Press Brake operations
  • Verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm accurate tolerances and machine functions
  • Operators will be required to maintain accurate parts
  • During operations, Operator will be required to maintain cleanliness of the machine
  • In process checks will be required by the operator to maintain all required tolerances and quality
  • Completes all required safety procedures prior to and during operations
  • Communicates all production related items to next shift operators or shift supervisors

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for operation, proving programs, operating controls, setting all machine functions, and inspection of parts to assure conformance will be required
  • Must be able to work from drawings and sketches, read and understand manuals / specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and set up requirements
  • Skilled in organizing work area before and after parts are processed, stacking completed parts properly on blocks or pallet to eliminate double handling and work efficiently
  • Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine with capabilities. Report all machine malfunctions to Management.
  • Ability to calculate, blank sizes, bend locations, appropriate tonnage and tooling for each part being formed
  • Communicates with management, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
  • May perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Fork lift experience needed
