LDI Port Connections

LDI port connections leverage high contact pressure between the machined port and male M-Series adapters to form the seal. The high contact pressure is generated by mating a hardened stem against a relatively soft steel edge approximating line contact. The result is a metal to metal seal eliminating the compatibility, reliability and temperature concerns often associated with other types of fittings having elastomer seals.

Assembly of the M-Series adapters into a LDI port is made simple by the swivel connection that allows the orientation of the adapter to be maintained while securing the connection. A quarter turn of the swivel nut beyond hand tight provides the necessary torque to seal M-Series adapters in ports machined to LDI port specifications.
